Ok I just tested this out .. there are 3 setting for downloading to the server and 3 for uploading to the server... it says specifically for clusters only!!! Well that is completely incorrect as I tested this myself as well as someone with out admin rights..

Example: Prevent Download Dinos This setting applies to server clusters only. By default, everything can be transferred to/from servers in a cluster. Enable this to prevent this server from downloading dino.

Well these setting do not apply to just clusters they apply to any and everything... so yes single player lvl 150 giga admin spawned in uploaded to obey on single player can be downloaded onto your server.. I left these options turned on as we had plans to cluster aberration in a few weeks.. so what gives? And how does one actually set up cross ark Dino transfer with out opening their server to utter devastating exploition?

So if anyone is running a cluster this is directed at you..

What are your server settings for Dino, Player, Item server uploads and downloads set to? I am wonder if you cluster another server, it disallows single player uploads to server downs...

Can Anyone verify?

I run a cluster and am not, nor have ever been able to download something from a single player game onto a server. There is no comminication between the server and your single player world, so there is no way you could download a single player anything onto your server.

If your saying that its not possible when not running a cluster, you are wrong.. i found it hard to believe myself as having the option to upload a client side file to a server just sounded absurd... But sure enough possible as i tested it myself to verify it.

I am guessing once a cluster is setup , a default directory is created that upload data files are stored and can be retrieved by servers on the cluster.. when server is not on a cluster it allows downloads from single player uploads..

I have 2 servers in a cluster, and have tested that uploads and downloads work on both servers, but it's not exclusive to that cluster. I created a Bob on another private ser, totally random, and uploaded it, I am however able to download that bob to my cluster. I would like to know how to contain the players, items, and dinos inside the cluster

Turn on "No Tribute Downloads". Should still permit cluster downloads, but stop outside entrants.
