so we have tried many times now to start different 8k RWG maps with specific seeds (entered seed name EXACTLY) only to have the server crash EVERY time we tried to log on / not show on in game server search / take excessively long generating. we dont want to be stuck playing only Navezgane map but not running modded games atm. any help please?

7DaysToDie is a LOT backwards with their random gen routine. It heavily relies the machine's GPU to generate the map.
Servers have very poor, if any, GPU resources as they're generally headless. (Meaning without a monitor connection and all terminal based).
On the discord there is a very lengthy tutorial that was adjusted from The Fun Pimps forums, I recommend checking there.
