I have been largely unsuccessful in getting a second server to start up thru this provider. For some reason secondary servers dont work/show up when loading ark?

If I back up my sumero server can I swap to The Island map, build there (back that up) and then swap back to my other one?

Amber For joining a cluster with an already created character you have a few options:

1) On the server you currently have a character on, travel to an obelisk or city terminal. You should then be able to transfer to a clustered server. Keep in mind that there are some options on the transfer screen you may need to adjust, most notably the password protection box.

2) On the server you currently have a character on, travel to an obelisk or city terminal. You should then be able to upload your current survivor into the Cluster Cloud. Then, navigate to your ARkServers.io provided website (Such as http://CTGamingG.arkers.io) and then click on the PlayNow button. Upon entering the server, you'll have the option to download your survivor.

That stated, if you want to do the back up, swap map, thing you can... but there are few important things to remember:

1) You'll have to upload all survivors at an obelisk before swapping the map. Anyone who doesn't upload their survivor will run into issues. 2) When if/you use ARKServers handy rebuild option to repair a server, it will delete any save data not tied to your currently selected map. So you'll have to always keep a copy of your backup in either the backups tab, or separately on your PC. 3) If you are ever in a situation where a rebuild is needed, anyone / anything last uploaded at the time of a rebuild from the other map may find itself locked / deleted.

In short, yes it's possible, but ARK wasn't designed to be housed on a server in that manner, so there are large risks.
