  • Custom leveling curve

I tried to search the forum via Google and found nothing on this topic, so I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

I noticed in the "Custom Leveling Curve" settings (linked from the "Basic" tab) that it mentions a graph, however I don't see any graphs. Even if I change the settings and hit "Save" no graph shows up. Any idea where to find it? I can't find it under any other tabs and "Charts" only has players, CPU, and memory.

I've always felt like you level far too slowly at higher levels in Ark, but turning up XP gain to say, 5x, makes the grind much easier at 70+. The problem with that, in my mind, is that it completely trivializes the low levels and causes you to be 20+ with almost no effort.

So I was curious about messing around with a custom leveling curve to try and make it require less XP at high levels, but a bit more XP at low levels just to even it out a tad. Without a graph to sort of show me the way, I have no clue how changing the multipliers is going to affect the curve. Any thoughts or suggestions?

There is a web tool you can use to customize just about every aspect of Ark through your gameusersettins.ini and game.ini files. It has detailed information on how to accomplish your every desire. Just go to http://arksurvivalevolved.gamewalkthrough-universe.com/dedicatedservers/customizationtools/customlevelstool/Default.aspx. There is also an app you can download to make custom loot drops for all supply crates and some dino's at https://beaconapp.cc/. Hope this will help you modify your game more to your liking.

Very nice, thank you. Looks like this should accomplish the same thing without using the arkservers.io tool.

Just realize that anything you put in your Expert section for ini settings will be overwritten if they have a matching setting in Basic or Advanced in the best case.

In some situations though, you could duplicate an option that the tool doesn't catch which will cause random operations, or crashes in the worst case.

At present, the level over haul tool doesn't replace anything if kept at default, but does duplicate if you make any setting changes.
