Cross cluster chat for ARK requires three things:

1) A third party program that will connect to all of your ARK Servers via RCON. There are sevearl out there, and all are different in how they install and connect.

2) The CrossARK Chat mod that partners with the third party program you've chosen from requirement 1 above. These are all also different, but at the end of the day they all mostly take the incoming RCON data nad format them to look better. There are some that JUST use RCON and don't require a mod, while most of thoser are the free programs out there, their are a few that are paid. I heavily recommend against using a RCON only chat mod, as their output is horrible.

3) A computer dedicated as a server specifically for the CrossARK Chat program that you chose in requirement one.

Any instructions you're following for Linux are for the computer in requirement 3. As that computer won't be with this host, there's not anything the community for this host can really help with. I will say this though, if you've found a computer for Linux hosting for the program you might want to see if you can get a Win10 student license, or trial license for that PC, or see if that host offers a WINE or Win10 environment since you mentioned the windows directions for your chosen program to be easier for you than the Linux instructions.

A final mention:
Cross ARK Chat is fine when you're talking about 2-3 people across 2-3 servers who don't want to use Discord or somethign similar.

When you get to 3+ players per server on 2 or more servers, it gets horrible. As you wind up with 9+ people all trying to talk over one another, like a really active YouTube or Twitch Stream. It's FAR more economical, sanity preserving, and just easier to make a community Discord. Not only is such a Discord free, there are bots that will let you log, give permissions, etc, to those chatting, where as most cluster chat programs are just SUPER stripped down bare bones things.
