Any updates on the server shortages? Been waiting on servers to become available so I can run a lost island server in my cluster, but still nothing aside from 'we are working on it' ?

If they expect the average customer to host here for 3 months, then what they’ve indicated in the Discord announcement channel is that the upfront cost on the  new hardware would cost something in the ballpark of an additional $60,000 USD to meet current projected demand. So I don’t foresee any change unless an outside investor putting forth that amount of money, with an expectation of 0 return for several years, the supply chain issues being resolved, or several thousand people who currently subscribe to service being comfortable with a 40-50% price increase.

And to be clear, that's $60,000 more than what they normally pay for the hardware. So we're talking $60,000 not budgeted by the company. 

Ah, this is such a shame. I've been a customer off and on for years and finally had time to start playing ARK again. G-Portal is just awful and since you guys are effectively out of business, I guess I won't be playing for while. Best of luck, I guess. It was a great service while it lasted.

Just want to clear 2 things up:

1) This forum isn't staffed by staff, it's for community based support. As such, I'm just a member of the community.

2) This host isn't "efefctively out of business". They've chosen to do right by their current customers instead of raising the rates for all current and future customers.

It seems like they've just outright shut down new server registration. I don't think they are occasionally opening registration back up when they have slots available due to cancelations. So the "Check back tomorrow" when you attempt to register a new server is disingenuous.

I disagree, as the stock, pricing, and supply chain issues are an ever evolving incident. Due to that, the "Check back tomorrow" is very valid for snagging 1-2 server slots as soon as they pop open. I've managed to fire up a new server in the last month, sure it was in South Africa, but slots are opening.

Just as an attempt, I aslo just spun up a new ARK Server and a new 7 Days to Die server. I've managed to grab an NA slot for both. I've since shut down both, so for who knows how long, there are two NA basic server slots available.

I was gone for several weeks and when i came back my server was moved to south africa.. 300ms + ping times.. How long till I can move it back? I for one would rather pay the $21 than have an unuseable server. Thanks Lee
