Hello,
My friend and I keep getting the same crash when loading up the server. Right as the loading is about to finish, we get this message:

I have no idea how to fix it. I really don't want to reset my server and lose all of our data. Here's the mod list:

That's a client crash message. Which would mean the client is having a problem processing the data upon joining.

Your shortest way to fixing this is via Whack-A-Mod.

Your longest way of fixing this is by finding someone experienced in Unreal Engine crash logs and parsing through the crash log.

 

The top of the crash log tells us it's when the game tries to load an asset and attemps to retrieve the quality data of the asset, and fails to retreive the item quality.

With that data, we can pretty much presume either an asset on the server that has been placed was not properly copied into the client sides, or that when two of your mods interract  they fail to do so properly. As this is a new server, your best option would be to start with a process known as Whack-a-mod:

1. Take a backup.
​​2. Disable all mods, restart the server.
3. Enable one mod at a time, restarting each time.
4. When the server starts giving fits, you have found the mod or combination thereof that causes the problem.​​
​5. Remove or find a replacement for the offending mod, install it, and restore your backup.

I would start by removing mods known for causing issues, and those that are [Open Source] as mods with such tags have been abandoned by their developers. And also by reading the documentation for your chosen map and your mods. The Primal Fear mod expansions you have selected will NOT work with a map that have the spawners natively that the expansion tries to add / emulate.

Also, Awesome Teleporters and most Auto Engram mods tends to cause issues due to Admins not preparing for either properly.

Auto engram learners, if not properly setup will potentially try and learn an Admin or dummy engram that isn't learnable by the player, which can cause a crash due to corrupting the player save file.

Awesome Teleporters will constantly increase your save file size every time a player teleports. This eventually leads to a map save that ARK cannot load properly due to file size liimts.

That's where I would start. But I want to re-iterate, this is a client side crash. So from a host perspective, there's very little they'll be able to do to fix the error.

Many mods will tell you right in their description if they have known problems.  Primal Fear, for example:

!!!! NOTE: Primal Fear is currently not compatible with any mod that overrides any vanilla creatures, such as classic flyers. (Primal Fear flyers can level up speed, so that mod is not necessary). This is due to the new spawn system, which piggy backs off of vanilla dinos to spawn Primal Fear dinos. This also includes adding any other dino mods to Primal Fear, whether it says it's compatible or not, which can cause unpredictable issues, such as overspawns and other unwanted behaviour. While this is a draw back, the bright side is this method makes Primal Fear work on any map, even any new official map, without my intervention. !!!!

Did you end up finding what mod was the issue? I have a server using similar mods and am getting the same crash error.

I doubt it's the same crash error, as the game version and file versions are 7 revisions past when the original post was made...

Not to mention the HG's mods should all gone these days as Hulk died from a huge health condition that caused them to close source their mods and start charging people for the source code.
